The Puez-Odle Natural Parc, comprises an area of 10.196 hectares . Badia, Corvara, Val di Funes, San Martino in Badia, S. Cristina, Selva and Ortisei are the localites comprised in this nature park. In the north the nature park is bounded by Passo delle Erbe and Val Gardena in the south ; the Val Badia in the east and in the west valli di Funes and Gardena.

The Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Parc, comprises an area of 25.680 hectares, is one of the widest natural parc of the Alto Adige. It comprises the localites Badia, Braies, Dobbiaco, La Villa, San Vigilio di Marebbe and Valdaora. This nature park is bounded by Val Pusteria in the north , Val Badia and Valle di Landro.

Museum LadinThe way through the museum located in San Martin in Badia focuses on some significant aspects of the present and past lives of the Dolomite Ladins, highlighting the important influences of cross-regional events on the lives of the population and pinpointing the existing interrelations between landscape forms and lifestyles.. Ladin Culture Institute "Micura de Rü"
The Ladin Cultural Institute organises and promotes activities, which aim to preserve and to promote the Ladin language and culture in general. Amongst other things, the Institute publishes books of different types in Ladin and books written in other languages which talk about the Ladin territory, language and culture. Saint Freinademetz House in Oies - Alta Badia
Saint Father Freinademetz is a highly spiritual figure worthy of devotion in the Val Badia. His image is present in all the churches of the Val Badia villages and in many homes, as if to protect this marvellous valley and its inhabitants. Born in Oies, near San Leonardo/Pedraces in 1852 to a family of peasants, he was ordained a priest in 1875. Shortly afterwards. his strong vocation spurred him to become a missionary in China where he stayed until his death in 1908 from typhoid.
On the 1939 there was the first miracle; he was proclaimed Blessed on 1975 by the Pope Paolo VI and the Pope Papa Giovanni Paolo II lproclaimed Him Saint on October 5th 2003.

The churches of Alta Badia
- The parish church of Saint Jacob (S.Leonardo/Pedraces)
The church was mentioned for the first time in a document of the 14th century. Its present aspect, except the Gothic bell tower, is marked by the most significant rococo style of the Ladin valleys.
- The Santa Croce Sanctuary (S.Leonardo/Pedraces)
There are more legends linked to the construction of this singular little church. However you can certainly say that the Sanctuary was consecrated in 1484 and afterwards was enlarged as pilgrimage church.
- The parish church of San Cassiano
A church of the village was already mentioned in a document of the 15th century. The reconstructed building dates back to 1782.
